Who is EXPLORIST.life?
At its core, EXPLORIST.life provides free content to teach people how to build DIY campers. There are a number of camper conversion companies that transform a cargo van to a camper, but many of them are expensive and have a waiting list of over 6-months. EXPLORIST.life’s DIY content allows its audience to build high-end camper vans by themselves on the timeline and budget that fit their needs.
“My target audience does not have a huge elaborate workshop. They usually have a garage of some kind, a little bit of mechanical aptitude, can use hand tools and power tools,” said Yarbrough.
Previously, EXPLORIST.life was with ConvertKit but was disappointed with their service.
“I got frustrated with the customer service at ConvertKit when I was trying to get some things set up. The 24-hour chat support was like two to three-day chat support to get a response,” said Yarbrough.
Yarbrough was considering other options and met AWeber at an event.
“AWeber treated me the way I wanted to be treated and taken seriously, that was pretty important to me at that time. I signed up with AWeber, and the team made it super seamless to migrate everyone over and make sure tags were appropriately applied,” said Yarbough.
EXPLORIST.life is a big fan of AWeber’s pre-built automated campaigns.
“I use the automated email sequence. I don’t use all the bells and whistles. I write my thoughts. Add some links and send it out. For me, done is better than perfect,” said Yarbough.
Although Customer Solutions is not technically a feature, it’s also a favorite of EXPLORIST Life.
“My experience with AWeber is that someone is always there to help! Anytime I have to reach out to tech support, it is usually something real quick and small. I can drop on a tech support chat, and the answer is always there. It is quick and efficient help,” said Yarbrough.
