• Mary Oscko was a North St. Louis activist in the campaign to clean up Coldwater Creek from WWII Manhattan Project radiation contamination. She passed away on February 20, 2023 from stage 4 lung cancer despite never having smoked cigarettes. We spoke on February 20, 2016, at the Atoms Next Door symposium in North St. Louis, when she’d already been diagnosed. This interview is presented as a memorium. 
   
• Mary Olson is founder of the Gender and Radiation Impact Project. She served from 1991 to 2019 as Staff Biologist and Senior Radioactive Waste Policy Analyst at Nuclear Information and Resource Service. Her work on radiation education lead her to the question of whether biological sex is a factor in radiation harm, and she has presented her findings internationally  We spoke on February 18, 2020.
