Urgent prayer request: Please pray for end to Muslim v Hindu tensions in the UK as Leicester riots spread to Birmingham

Firstly the reason for this email is to apologize for the incorrect year written for the death of Queen Elizabet II in my last email. I have been notified that I wrote 2019 but we are all painfully aware that the correct year should have been 2022.

I am also writing to seek global prayers for the UK as the Hindu v Muslim riots on 17th and 18th September have spread to Birmingham on 20th September and may reach the London Borough of Brent today [25th September]. Read more (here).

The local MP has already warned local police and has threatened people to not protest outside a Hindu Temple, which would be tantamount to an incitement to hatred. He has also told Hindu's not to defend their temple stating it is the 'job of police'.

Please ask your churches to pray into this situation which threatens to ruin the long-standing peace in our communities.
