Sneak Peek at an upcoming "You Can SEW This!" newsletter
I guess you could say this is "Valentine' Eve", right? So, follow my crazy line of thoughts here...I was going through the site today. I start looking at my favorite section of the site: the "I Made This" section. From there my eye caught one of the new submissions from the "Twirl Scallopini". So the word "scallopini" makes me not only think of a cute new twirl, but yes, Italian...FOOD. So thoughts of yummy Italian food brings my thinking to "wow, wouldn't it be nice to go on a date to an Italian restaurant?" Then my thinking goes to "wait a minute, tomorrow is Valentine's and do we have a date planned?" And then flashbacks of last summer when we did a "YCMT DATE NIGHT" promo with the launch of the new site comes flooding back to memory. Oh, that was fun. People loved it. Sigh....good times. Then "WAIT! Who says we can't do a YCMT date night again?"
Are you still with me? Many of our new subscribers are going to start thinking, "What in the world is she talking about?" :)
So, yes, it's back...and we want to give 4 of you a night out with your spouse, significant other, best friend, grandmother, even a "mommy and me" date! It's time for you to go and have some fun, right? Well, we want to help!
So from now until February 28th, there are 4 REALLY EASY ways that your name can be entered into our YCMT date night drawing! Easy, easy stuff. Oh, and you can enter as many time as you'd like!

2- Use our Tell-a-Friend Link
to let others know about YCMT. Then simply post
to our blog how many people you told! (You'll be entered in that many times!
Your email will not be shared.)
3- Make a post about YCMT on YOUR blog or newsletter. Let

4- Have you seen a good movie lately? Do you have an all-time favorite? Post
it on our blog and you're entered that way, too!

Oooh! I love this unique halter! And maybe because I'm sitting amongst snow right now makes me love it even more! I'd like to welcome Alla from "My Little City Girl" to YCMT! I have been a fan of Alla's work for a long time. Isn't this tropical blue halter gorgeous? For those that knit and crochet, this is going to be fabulous for your little girl! Thank you Alla!

Needle in a Haystack
I'm guessing that many of you have had the chance to try one of Shelli's free "hand-stitching" embroidery patterns. If you have, you know that her instructions are not only clear, but her finished projects are adorable! I love her latest "I love u" pattern because it's a simple project that gives that extra touch to a pillowcase, towel, or even a new pillow. This is not just for Valentine's -- this would make a sweet touch to someone's bed (especially your child's bed) any time of the year.
The pieced pillow shown above is also demonstrated with step-by-step photos in her eBook. But if you want to do an even simpler version, you can make it onto a pillowcase just like our tester did! (and needles to say, she LOVED this project!) Look closely at her hand-written signature on the pillow, too: "love, mom xoxo". Isn't that sweet? Here's what she said:

Now how sweet is this? It's not too early to start thinking about your Spring and Summer projects. The perfect little sundress with a layer of tulle peeking out from under! There are 2 strap styles, instructions for a single or double tulle ruffle, and there are some bonus instructions for making a darling headband, too. Thanks Nanette!

Dana from HipChick Crochet has created a heart scarf that is just too cute. I love how the hearts "whimsically" fall from one another. Dana has created this scarf with a "crochet beginner" in mind, so maybe I could even do it! This isn't something just for Valentine's day...it will be perfect for someone throughout the rest of our cold days ahead! Thanks Dana!
