Note from the coach

Thank you to all who sent your understanding and sympathy last week.  Bless you.  This week has been one of accomplishment despite the rough beginnings.  I have put my most recent white paper on "Creating Focus and Fun at Work and Home" on my website.  You can get your free copy by connecting to http://tinyurl.com/rex4d3.  Two articles were published on http://ezinearticles.com , and we launched http://rainbowbridgecoach.com - the blog for Rainbow Bridge Coaching and Healing Center.  We are halfway through the Success Principles Workshop, and attendees are asking for it to continue beyond the original six weeks, or launch a second workshop!

I will be on vacation next week, so there will be no newsletter.  I will update you on the blog instead, sharing thoughts re: the Cirque du Soliel show Kooza, and hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Forest in Estes Park, Colorado.  Join me at http://rainbowbridgecoach.com.

Have a great week!

LAUNCH!

Rainbow Bridge Coaching and Healing Blog has been up and running for a week now.  I continue to refine it, and add to it, so please be patient with the format, errors and all.  I am discovering that technology has advanced much more rapidly than I have.

I have invited several people to contribute to this blog, sharing with you their reflections on the tapestry of our lives, recognizing that we cannot concentrate solely on the mind, but must complete the balance by including body, emotions and spirit.

Don't hesitate to register and leave comments.  We are interested in providing remarkable content that creates a sense of comfort and peace, helps generate thought, and moves you toward unparalleled balance and harmony.  Tell us what you want, whether something strikes a chord with you, or if we are not hitting the mark.

Our vision is for an illuminated world unified in oneness.  Our mission is to support interweaving the threads of emotion, thought, body and spirit as we travel the bridge of worldwide connection in our quest for unity.

Saturday's Blog Post:

Intuition: Being present

Intuition, in my experience, is not particularly strange or incomprehensible.  It is a knowing that is internal; what many call a "gut reaction".  It is often valuable, and when we are open to it, leads to better decisions.

Our brain works even when we are not consciously aware of the information processing outside of our awareness.  It's almost like being on automatic pilot.  Have you ever been thinking hard about something while you are driving, and not remember the trip from home to the office?  You are just not aware of your brain processing the information it is receiving in relation to road conditions, the weather, and the actions of others.

It is helpful to think of the brain's nonconscious thinking, or intuition, in similar fashion.   We are constantly processing information nonconsciously, and have strong feelings about the steps that need to be taken next or words needing to be said.  Unfortunately, we often override our intuitive reactions for external reasons, primarily to create coherence with others or from fear of expressing our feelings without the facts to back them up.  Over time you can even shut yourself off to your internal nudges.

Is it safe to trust intuition in complex decision-making?  I believe it is not safe to ignore them.   Trusting your intuition requires you to be present with your thoughts, and be unafraid of not knowing every reason why you feel the way you do in any given situation.  It is important to gather information and facts related to decisions in front of us, but the reality is we can actually be flawed in our judgment if we think about them too hard.  We can know with some certainty that all of the factors that influence our reactions are not available to our conscious mind, and if we trust our inner knowing we will be far more successful in creating the outcome we are looking for in relation to events in our lives.

Visionary Leaders:  A Clear and Motivational Vision

Have you ever worked for someone who seemed to make things happen by guiding their employees through clear communication of a positive image of what they want to accomplish, and providing a solid sense of direction of how to get there?   The basic tenant of the Law of Attraction, as presented in The Secret, is that when you envision the future, and embody it with emotion and energy while you take intentional action toward its creation, physical reality follows.  A perfect example of this is Nelson Mandela.  Nelson had an extremely positive vision of a South Africa living peacefully in racial harmony - and brought it into reality to the amazement of the whole world.

The best visionary leaders provide inspiration which enables the movement of energy from the metaphysical to the physical by offering a clear view of the possibilities.  They motivate people to be better than they think they can be and help them recognize what Abraham Lincoln called  "the angels of their better nature."  The power of brilliant and motivational words can strike an inner chord that people identify with.  When this occurs, we often see dramatic social change. Like Martin Luther King, visionary leaders have the ability to get to the heart of the deepest spiritual needs of followers and link their vision of the world to the deep inherent need for purpose and meaning.

Visionary leaders often see a higher spiritual power at work behind the scenes of events, and they align with this vision creating a potent flow of energy.  Winston Churchill said during World War II, "...we have a guardian because we serve a great cause, and we shall have that guardian as long as we serve that cause faithfully." President Anwar Sadat of Egypt had a vision of Mohammed who told him to create peace in the Middle East, leading to the Camp David Peace Treaty between the Arabs and Israelis.

Visionary leaders convey a sense of energy to people, coaching them toward a feeling of hope and confidence in their ability to achieve their dream. A perfect example in present times is the television show sponsored by Oprah Winfrey in which ten contestants were challenged to give and raise money to help those less fortunate.  Oprah helped the contestants believe in themselves and go on to create a better world.  She also sponsors the Angel Network, an organization of volunteers "working around the globe to give people the chance to live their best lives."  Oprah's vision is to inspire people to help others rise to their potential.

Visionary leaders often give voice to a vision based on principles and standards of integrity that become examples for all members of the human race.  They often are inspired by the wisdom of the ages, presenting it in a context understood by the people of their times.
