Iāve
been leaving my house every weekday by 6am to go to my horse trainer.Ā
Ā
Thatās where my pony, Han Solo, has lived for the past 5 months so he could get the training he desperately needed.
Ā
After the first couple of months, Han was ready. Then it was my turn to
get training on becoming a more confident rider.
Ā
Iāve come a long way...but there are still a few holes in my
training.Ā
Ā
Like, I havenāt been able to steer Han properly when we trot. And I flop
all over the saddle like a sack of potatoes when I post...Ā
Ā
Because weāre not speaking the same
language.Ā
Ā
Itās like weāre not on the same page.
Ā
Well, I started reading a book called Horse Speak: The Equine-Human
Translation Guide. Itās been life-changing honestly.
Ā
Horses have a very quiet language. But when you pay attention, they are
speaking volumes. Itās just that humans are looking for horses to speak like we do. They donāt do that.
Ā
Back to this morningā¦
Ā
I got up at 4:00am š“ to go to my trainerāsā¦BEFORE he came out to work
with my pony.Ā
Ā
See, Han is hard to catch. And I wanted to spend time alone with him
(without my trainer) to test out my new horsie lingo.
Ā
The sun was just peeking over the mountains when I arrived. I slipped into
Hanās enormous pen and walked over to him.Ā
Ā
He didnāt run away. But he didn't invite me in
either.Ā
Ā
He just stood there, eyeing me.
Ā
So I tried some of the ālanguage patternsā Iāve been learning from the
book.
Ā
I did the 3 breath greeting horses use with each other.
Ā
Suddenly Han snapped his head around, and looked at me with the most
surprised look ever.Ā
Ā
It wasn't wild-eyed. Just like, "Whoa. That's my
language."
Ā
And we connectedā¦hard.
Ā
Once I saddled him up, he did everything I asked him to
do.Ā
Ā
The trot was smooth like butterā¦and so was my
posting.Ā
Ā
We were finally in sync. (This photo shows Han with āairplane earsā
which means heās calm and relaxed.)
I believe itās because he appreciated that I was trying to understand
him.Ā
Ā
All I know is it got results.Ā
Ā
You may not need to speak horse in your world. But if youāre in sales, you
DO need to speak womanese.
Ā
Women respond to different language patterns than
men.Ā
Ā
We do not resonate with dudebro marketing.Ā
Ā
š«Hype-filled sales copy?
Ā
š«Pushy, aggressive bullets?
Ā
No way, Jose. That stuffās not gonna fly here.Ā
Ā
But the good news is that selling to women is an acquired
skill.Ā
Ā
Itās something you can learnā¦ andā¦ it can open up the floodgates of
profits to rake in huge wads of cash.

male and female)

women

And since the internet today is filled to the brim with dudeified
copyā¦this can become your greatest secret weapon that will forever set you apart in copy land.
