02/06/04 - RSS, XML and Web Based Broadcast Archives Released.
AWeber customers create a tremendous amount of new, very valuable
content sent to their opt-in subscribers every day. As publication
methods evolve and subscribers become more savvy they desire to have
access to this content thru multiple mediums. AWeber strives to
lead these trends and has released features enabling RSS/XML feeds
along with linkable web based archives of customer broadcast
messages.
RSS, also known as Really Simple Syndication, is an XML language
that formats website data in such a way that it can be read by
special software call
RSS aggregators or news
aggregators. This allows someone to subscribe to that website
and receive quick summaries of that website when it is
updated.
When a customer creates a new broadcast newsletter they have the
ability to publish that message to an online archive accessible via
RSS or simply by linking from their website to archive
For example, a regular web archive of broadcasts might look
like:
AWeber Demo News Web Archive.
To subscribe to an RSS feed link to:
AWeber Demo News RSS Feed.
To publish an RSS feed or web archive on your website, a customer
should use the following links by replacing their list name with
the text "listname" in the URL's below:
| Web Archive: | http://www.aweber.com/z/article/?listname |
