How Can I Add an Additional Unsubscribe Link?

An unsubscribe link is appended to the bottom of each of the messages sent from your campaigns.

If you wish to provide an additional option to unsubscribe (or change their details) to your subscribers, you can use a personalization field to do so.

Note: When adding extra unsubscribe links, the default unsubscribe link will still be placed at the bottom of your message with standard formatting.

Instructions for AWeber's new message editor are below. Instructions for the old version of the editor are further down the page.

Step by Step Instructions

  1. When editing a text area of your message, click so that your cursor appears where you would like the unsubscribe link to be, then look to the toolbar above the message editor and click the Add Personalization button.

  2. From the window that appears in the editor, scroll down to the YOUR SNIPPETS section and choose Unsubscribe Link.

This will add a working unsubscribe link to your message.

Using AWeber's Old Editor?

  1. When editing a message, click so that your cursor appears where you would like the unsubscribe link to be, then click the Personalize link to the upper right of the area you are working in.

  2. Now, choose {!remove_web} from the list. The link will appear where the {!remove_web} text appears.

Note: If you would like, you can simply type {!remove_web} in manually.
  3. If you are working in HTML and would like to format that link (i.e. changing its color or size), just make the changes to the {!remove_web} text.

  4. In an HTML email, you can also make a hyperlink to the unsubscribe page.

First, highlight the text that you would like to become a link, then click the Insert/Edit Hyperlink button in the toolbar at the top.

In the popup that appears, simply type {!remove_web} into the URL area and hit the Insert button.

That will convert your text into a clickable unsubscribe link.
