How Do I Integrate Clickbank With AWeber?


You can easily integrate Clickbank with AWeber so that your buyers can add to a customer list in your account.

We offer two ways to integrate Clickbank with AWeber: You can either have Clickbank send a payment notification to your autoresponder and let our email parser add the buyer, or just send customers to a web form after they make a purchase through Clickbank.

Option #1: Integrate With Clickbank Using the Email Parser


This will automatically add the buyer's email address (as entered in your order form) to your list and send an opt-in confirmation message to him/her. Upon confirming, the buyer will become active on your list.

Step By Step Instructions

  1. First, you will need to turn on the Clickbank email parser in your list with AWeber. This will tell your list to send customers a confirmation message when the list gets an email from Clickbank.

    To do this, click on Email Parser under the My Lists tab.



    On this page, check the box for "Clickbank Orders."


  2. Now, you will need to get your list's email address - this is the address that you are going to tell Clickbank to send a notification to when there is a purchase.

    To get this email address, just add "@aweber.com" to the end of your list's name. The name of the list that you are working in is displayed in the upper left, in the drop down menu next to the words "Current List."

  3. Finally, you will need to add that email address to your Clickbank account.

    Log into your Clickbank account. Here, click the Account Settings tab at the top of the page.



    On the Account Settings page, click "Edit" on the Contact Information section.



    Enter your list's email address in the Transactional Email field, and hit Save Changes when you are done.


That's it! Now customers will be automatically added to your list and sent a confirmation message when they make a purchase from you via Clickbank.

Because Clickbank only permits one email address to be specified in each account, if you want to use this method you'd need to use your autoresponder address as the only one in your account. This can result in you not receiving other emails from Clickbank. For that reason, you may wish to use the web form option detailed below (instead of the parser).

Option #2: Integrate With Clickbank Using an Opt-In Form


As an alternative to the method detailed above, you can redirect your Clickbank buyers to an opt-in form after they complete a purchase.

This does require them to type their email address into the opt-in form, which may mean that some customers may elect to not sign up to your list.

However, this method lets you direct buyers of different products to different lists (Clickbank does not let you send payment notifications to different addresses based on what product is purchased, so if you use the parser method everyone will be added to the same list).

Before starting, make sure that you have created a web form that you would like people to be sent to.

Step By Step Instructions

  1. First, you need to get the URL of the page where your form is hosted. You can certainly use a page on your website where you have placed the form, but you can also have AWeber host that form on its own page for you:

    Click the Web Forms tab in your account to go to the Web Forms page, then click on the Publish link next to the name of the form that you would like to send people to when they make a purchase.



    There are three large buttons on this page. Click the third: "Have AWeber Host My Form."



    The URL where we host your form will appear below. Simply copy that for later.


  2. Next, you'll create the product in Clickbank, and tell Clickbank to send people to your form after they purchase.

    In your Clickbank account, under the Account Settings tab, click My Products.



    Click the Add New Product button. On this page, paste in the URL where your form was located (either the one you just copied in the last step, or a page on your site that has the web form on it).

  3. Complete the other Clickbank steps for creating a product (https://www.clickbank.com/getting_started.html for assistance).

    Now, when someone purchases, they'll be redirected to your opt-in form, where they can provide an email address to sign up to your list!
