What is the CAN-SPAM Act?
The CAN-SPAM Act is a U.S. law that regulates commercial email.
According to CAN-SPAM, all email messages must:
- Offer a method for the recipient to opt-out (unsubscribe).
- Contain the sender's valid physical postal address.
As a US-based company, AWeber adheres to the CAN-SPAM Act and requires all customers to do so within their accounts:
- All messages automatically include an unsubscribe link.
- All messages contain a contact address for the sender. You can modify the address that appears in your messages, but it must be a valid one where you can receive postal mail.
