Step by Step Instructions

1. Create Blog Broadcast and Enter RSS Feed

Go to your account's Blog Broadcasts page.

Click the  button to begin editing your new blog broadcast. Start by entering your RSS feed URL for your blog.

If you don't have this address handy, view our knowledge base article on finding the RSS Feed URL for your blog.

2. Schedule Your Blog Broadcast

Choose how frequently you'd like to send your blog newsletters to subscribers:

You can set a number of articles to accumulate before a message is created, or you can set a day or date for the messages to broadcast on regularly.
There are several options available for the scheduling of your blog broadcasts. For a simple explanation of each:

3. Choose Automatic or Manual Sending of Blog Updates

You have two options for the sending of the messages created with this feature:
When created, send them automatically to your subscribers without your intervention
Create broadcast messages you can manually edit and queue when ready for sending.
If you want to send broadcasts created from your RSS feed automatically check the box titled "Send Automatically"

If you do not check this box, you can edit the messages like you would any other Broadcast message on the Broadcasts page of your account. You will need to click on the Queue Now button in order to confirm their readiness for sending at the date and time you specify.

4. Consider Click Tracking

By enabling click tracking, all blog email newsletters will have links converted to tracking links allowing you to see how many times each of the links in your messages are clicked on:

For instance, if you check this box, you will be able to see how many people click through the links to your blog articles as compared to others in previous newsletters, and you will be able to measure which links perform best within each message.

5. Select a Template

Since the Blog Broadcast feature works by pulling the content from your blog and reformatting it into a template, you'll need to select one. You'll find a list of over 103 to choose from.

You can scroll through the list and view previews of each.  Once you've chosen the template you'd like to use, click on the Load Template Button button.

Scroll down the page to view or edit the template's appearance.  If you decide on another, you can always repeat this step. Once you've made a decision on the template, click on the Save button at the bottom of the page.

6. Check Broadcasts For New Messages

Within three hours or less, your blog's RSS feed will be downloaded and checked for content.  Any existing articles  published there from your blog -- or those published up to twelve hours later -- will be placed into broadcast messages as per the settings of the Blog Broadcast you just created.

Because you may or may not want to send these messages to subscribers, you will need to manually review them and either queue them for sending or delete them.

After twelve hours, any new content to your blog will be sent automatically or created for manual editing depending on the Blog Broadcast's settings.
