How Do I Stop Message Text From Running Off The Screen?
When composing a plain text email, you want to keep your lines short.
There are two reasons for this:
- It makes your messages easy-to-read by not making your subscribers follow text all the way across their screen.
- Different email programs can "cut off" lines after certain lengths, so keeping your lines short helps ensure consistent display across those programs.
How to Keep Your Lines Short
There are two easy ways to make your plain text message lines short.
The first option is to manually wrap your lines: simply press Enter when you get to an appropriate line length, then continue typing on the next line.
To help guide you, the Plain Text Message box has a vertical line labeled "Recommended Width:"

If your text goes over that line, just go back, hit Enter, and continue on the next line.
The second option is to simply click the Wrap Long Lines link that appears just above the Plain Text Message box:

This will automatically wrap your lines so they fit in the Recommended Width area:
