I like the web form generator and it works great for most sites.
But I see a lack when it comes to using your service on a more traditional web site and it pains me to have to consider other vendors.
The feature I’m looking for is simple… a way for someone to indicate their interests or "which" database or databases they want to be included in…via checkmark box or whatever.
Are there any plans for adding something along these lines?

I like the new forms but my site is in a foreign language. Last time I looked there isn’t any possibility for translating many of the texts in the layout.
any news on this?

Yes, it’s such a pleasure to make and edit new forms without having to pay for designer work.
As I market in Spanish, I’d like to see customization ability in some other forms, so they could be translated.

Very helpful, a real time-saver. Would be even better if there was an option to view more templates on one page (10-50-100).

Great job but I still have a problem with those forms…..
I’m unable to add any “French character” like: ? ? ? ? ?
Thanks

By far one of the easiest web form builders out there. I like the fact that you can edit the text and images all in the editor without having to worry about putting html around the web form afterwords.
Most importantly it has a lot of categories so I can match the niche that I’m trying to promote. Thanks AWeber. Great post, Nick.

Stefano, Monica, Mathieu…
I use aWeber in French, and the special characters remain a problem, support has told me they’re on it… BUT apart from that, you can really customize a lot, you certainly know that you can rename the label fields, right?
You could also disable the labels completely, and write your own in the HTML page where you integrate the form, in this way you can use any characters you need. Same thing for headers and footers
If there’s enough of us needing and asking for these features, I’m sure the wonderful aWeber team will soon add it, right?
Hope this helps someone!

Hi,
I am French too, and concerned by the fact I cannot use any French caracters in the form editor.A large proportion of French people are not english-savvy. It’s sad that the gorgeous-looking forms do not enable us to edit the “Submit” button.
(even on my English-speaking lists, I’d prefer to be able to change this to “Click here to sign up” for instance)
The template editor tool is awesome,

Great stuff with the Form template editor.
But please, DO SOMETHING about non english characters ! It’s a pain in the ass ! With every form I use, I have to plug the HTML code directly into my webpage, and then rewrite all the text with special chars.
It also means that I cannot use the A/B test feature for my webforms, as I have to put the HTML code directly into my website !
At least allow us to use HTML encoded chars directly (like é etc.).
I use AWeber in French. And by the way, there is also a problem with the encoding of the e-mails subjects that goes wrong with French special chars and quickly leads to crazy spam scores.
Thanks a lot if you can fix this issue quickly !
PS : you could also make a discount for non-english users that are not able to use all the keys on their keyboards !

Hey guys,
You can edit the submit button by selecting its pane and opening the advanced tray (just below the editor’s toolbar). You can either change the URL of the button’s image or you can delete it completely and have the button converted to a regular form button (where you can edit the caption as necessary).
Now, the email encoding is still a problem that I would really like to see fixed soon. For the moment, no accented characters in the subject line for me.
- cheers -

I think the French, as well as any other language, could be solved by simply changing the ISO character set to UTF-8.
However, I think it is much more than that. If the database’s character set is not UTF, then this is what is taking them so long to resolve, not mentioning the data already in it to be converted.
I mean if they changed the encoding in the pages and forms then the database, this should have no problems for new entries, but the old ones will not show up correctly.
I faced this problem with a CMS and solved it by exporting the database and resaving the files as UTF-8. Then, changed the encoding of the tables, the fields, collagion and the db itself to UTF.
Pain in the neck: Yes. Worth it, hell yes.

I second all the above comments about Aweber not supporting special characters. It is indeed a huge pain in the a$$
I am using Aweber now for my German speaking blog but have to say that I am keeping my eyes open for a tool that does support the German special characters, that hopefully has somewhat the features and capabilites of Aweber.
It’s a huge amount of money lost for Aweber not to have an internationalized version of it’s software, considering big markets such as France, Germany etc.
My 2 cents…

I also agree the the special characters issue.
I’m portuguese, and a lot of portuguese names have special characters (for us they are not so special
)
Imagine the amount of customers that i’m loosing because of this. For example “João” instead of “Jo?o”We pay the same as the US clients, we should have the same quality of services.
I’m not an expert but these kind of things are not so difficult to do…
Greetings

I’m French speaking too and I’ve just started discovering the character restrictions.
What is really annoying is when you get the message:“You may have entered a non-English character to your form”
But you can’t find any that doesn’t look English (non accented character used), what do you do ?
So please help us !
I’ve chosen AWeber because of your excellent reputation. Wouldn’t it be possible that you allowed at least a few accented characters ?
Thanks a lot in advance !
