Add a Web Form Footer To Share Your Privacy Policy, Announce a Free Bonus and More
Posted by Justin Premick
An effective headline is a key part of a good web form — it’s where you show would-be subscribers why they should sign up to your email list!
But what if you want to convey other information in your web form that you’d prefer not to mix in with the headline?
It can be useful to put that content beneath your web form, in the “footer” area.
For more on this new feature, including a short video, read on.
New Web Form “Footer” Option Makes It Easy To Add Information Beneath Your Form
When you create a web form in your account, you can add a footer by clicking the area beneath your “submit” button.
If you prefer to have your footer just above the “submit” button, you can click and drag it there as well.
To see how this works, watch the short video below.
What Information Can You Put In Your Web Form Footer?
Your footer complements your headline (but doesn’t replace it!).
You can use it to:
- Address concerns your potential subscribers have (about your privacy practices, for example)
- Point out extra bonuses for subscribing, like a free report/ebook/whitepaper
- Link to a past newsletter to give visitors a sample of the value they’ll get by subscribing
- Share a testimonial from a happy subscriber
What else might you put in your web form’s footer?
Share your ideas below!

Excellent feature. This saves you having to build tables to insert the Aweber code into, with the privacy information below. Very useful indeed.
