System Maintenance Thursday Early AM

The final stages of an extensive network facilities upgrade are to be completed Thursday. Over the past month our technical team has been migrating our servers from 2 locked cabinets into a private cage with 6 cabinets. This will allow for continued scaling to keep up with the millions of daily website hits and the introduction of several powerful new features and services.

Schedule:

During this time the customer and affiliate control panel areas of the website may be intermittently unavailable for login. All other aspects of the website should continue to function normally such as, new subscriber opt-ins, open rate tracking, click tracking links, unsubscribe requests, etc.

Thank you for your patience during this time period.

For those that like seeing behind the scenes I’ve included a few early pictures of the cage build out process below. The first picture in the grey cabinet is an older view of one of the two cabinets we’re moving out of. The private cage setup that follows in the other 5 pictures is about 50 feet from the original cabinets at our colocation facility provider. The cage pictures were taken about a month ago as we begin the build out, the guys have been too busy with the build out to take more recent ones.

NOTE: System maintenance was completed without incident on May 10th.

    Aweber rocks! They have a great service, the world’s coolest CRM (all my emails, chats, calls are logged and available for me to look at for years - I sure wish you’d productize that for us), and now, slick pictures of shiny hardware on their blog.

    Of all my vendors (hosting services, email, credit cards etc), aweber has the highest UP time.

    I’m a bit concern with the wiring done on the KVM switch. The cables appear to drop directly into the equipment. ISO 9000 compliance requires a larger bend radius to protect the integrity of the cable. Perhaps a service loop or an "S" like drop would be optimal.

    I noticed a few things wrong! Several wires are mis connected.
    One server seems to be in back wards and the left handed spangle
    adapter is the wrong part. It should be xzor328, instead you mounted
    xyor326, common mistake and easily rectified. However as it all seems
    to be working ok, I would advise you to leave it alone and go with the existing configuration.

    To create one, go to your account’s Web Form page:

    https://www.aweber.com/users/webform

    and choose the "popover/hover" type while creating your form.

    You are the ONLY autoresponder service I recommend to clients and colleagues. This just shows why.

    A suggestion… I’d like to be able to say and layout the welcoming message in the verification email more than is possible at the moment. 10 lines is very limiting when a line can be taken up by the spacing between paragraphs.

    I like to remind people why they decided to subscribe and what they can look forward to so they are more inclined to hit the subscription link. Your limit of 500 characters and 10 lines is very limiting.

    Otherwise, I love everything you offer and the fantastic advice you provide.
