CM
Thanks for putting this together AW!
I tried using the first/topmost template, but I’m getting an error when I try to unzip this…says zip file is invalid.

Hi CM,
The .zip files work just fine for me. If you’re not doing so already, try downloading the file to your computer before unzipping (in Windows, choose "save to disk" instead of "open" – or use the "save target as" option).
You may also want to check to see if you need to update whatever program you use to open .zip files.

This is another great gift from you for us for the Christmas Holidays! -
Do any of your designers plan to offer a MERRY CHRISTMAS template?
12/10/2009 1:50 pm -
I think they’re great. Definitely send one to say Merry Christmas to my subscribers. Many thanks!!

anyone else having Outlook 2007 strip out the pictures?
12/10/2009 2:53 pm
They look beautiful in gmail but can’t get em to show in Outlook -
I love the 1st one, very classy. Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the great resources, Merry Christmas!!

AWeber is really starting to understand their customers. These Christmas templates are just what internet marketers need right now! I’m so thrilled that AWeber has started to expand into the world of useful graphics. This saves marketers money and time! Great Work AWeber and Merry Christamas to all the Aweber staff and their families.

Thank goodness! I was perusing your templates and have one almost ready to go but it really was not festive enough! These look awesome – thanks for doing it so quickly. Now I have to choose!

@bob
Outlook 2007 is quite the dilemma when it comes to styling email I must admit. In order to code email that looks decent in all the other email clients I tend to use background images within table cells, however like you said… Outlook 2007 strips these images out.
My response to this has been, why make everyone else suffer for Outlook 2007 users. Therefore, I’ve been coding my emails to degrade gracefully.
What does that mean? Well, instead of people seeing background images they might see a table cell with a background color set to something that resembles the graphic that would have shown. This at least makes sure that the template is as legible as possible.
I hate to say it but until Microsoft loosens up on its restrictions within email, Outlook users will be doomed to seeing emails that aren’t quite as graphically pleasing.
I’ll be crossing my fingers for Outlook 2010 to be more flexible.

I think this is awesome for you guys to share this.
I really like the Happy Holidays one by Eric and I will try it out to send some emails around to my friends, family and clients.
Thanks again for the gift!

Would it be too much to ask for a Merry Christmas one? I’d like to use that one. BTW, I am an AWeber user and would like one to send out to my list.

I’m disappointed in AWeber. Winter holiday? It’s Christmas. I don’t see a template that says Merry Christmas, unless I missed something. I like the idea but won’t use one because of that omission.
12/10/2009 10:32 pm -
I think that the first is the best! Thanks!
12/11/2009 9:18 am -
Is anyone getting these to download? I’ve tried every way imaginable and no luck on any of them.
12/11/2009 10:11 am -
Hi,
12/11/2009 10:18 am
thanks for the templates they,re great BUT I have to agree that it would be nice to have one that says “Merry Christmas”
I have to ask if this is another case of PC gone mad -
I too tried downloading the top most template with the tree and when clicking on the zip file I get a message saying the file is corrupt and it will not open.
12/11/2009 10:54 am -
@ Susan, Taylor, and anyone else asking why we didn’t put Merry Christmas:
We serve customers all over the world and since they are templates, not ready made messages, we assumed our customers would fill in their own personal messages for the holiday they prefer.
12/11/2009 11:20 am -
Thanks.
But is it possible to have one that says “Merry Christmas” clearly you can see that your customers, me includesd, are asking for one that specifically says “Merry Christmas.”
12/11/2009 3:11 pm -
Awesome, thanks so much Bob!

What a terrific idea!
Thank you for making these templates. They’re all so nice, it’s hard to decide which one to use.
I agree with those who pointed out the lack of having "Merry Christmas" on at least one.
Having said that, I appreciate your explanation and your (and your designers’)thoughtfulness, Bob, as to why it wasn’t. And now it all makes sense.

The "Happy Holidays" greeting in 2 of the 3 templates that say it is text that can be changed in literally 2 seconds to be anything you would like it to be. This isn’t a statement about political correctness, it’s a statement about making templates that are as useful to as many people as possible. It’s just placeholder text, customize as you see fit just as you would with any template.

Great job!
You have always been reliable and over deliver with your service – and once again you show that you understand your clients and have our needs in mind.
These templates are great – keep up the good work. As someone who teaches people how to run their business from anywhere – you are one of the main tools we use to help us keep in touch and create a community with our subscribers.
Thanks again Aweber!
Happy Holidays

I’m not as up to speed as the rest of you, so please forgive me if I ask if there is a tutorial or some other resource on how to use the downloadable templates in Outlook 2003. I’ve never used html in my emails before.
Thanx!

I read the previous posts but I am still desiring a template that has the traditional religious Christmas sentiment “Merry Christmas” with some Christian religious image. There are many Christians out here that desire to honor our celebration of Christmas. There are many templates for other religious holidays …. Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and even Halloween but none for those of us who celebrate Christmas. I would like to know why the resistance to having a Christmas template especially when there are many who are asking for this kind of template?
Just to let you know I am in the process of checking out different email marketing providers and taking into consideration what types of templates are available before signing up. I checked another provider and they advised me that they also received many requests for a “Merry Christmas” template. Thank you for your time and consideration.

How do I edit the text?
12/21/2010 12:01 pm -
Could someone please tellme how I apply the template into Outlook? I can’t get outlook to see these files at all so that I can use the templates – thanks ever so.
12/21/2010 9:17 pm -
Can you use this in Outlook Express or upload into another system to use?
12/23/2010 5:44 pm -
Thanks for these templates – just a suggestion, but perhaps you could add a simple template that just takes an image with a link.
Happy Holidays!

I also have problems with the templates in Outlook 2007, it strips the images off. Elsewise the templates are beautifully done and work with all other platforms.
12/7/2011 12:59 pm -
Could you provide some basic instructions on how to edit the text after downloading the .zip files? Thank you.
