Breaking News: Facebook Changes Its News Feed To Help Your Business
Facebook just unveiled a major overhaul to its news feed.
The good news? You don’t really need to do anything and it can really help your business.

Here’s what to expect from Facebook as their updates roll out:
1. Images And Video Take Center Stage

The first change Facebook unveiled is bigger, more prominent images and videos in people’s news feeds. When Facebook first launched, news feed content was mostly text. Now images make up 50% of what gets shared. Plus, images are known to increase engagement on brand pages.
The news feed redesign makes shared images much more prominent. And an added bonus – special media contained in links that people share will play and display right on Facebook, instead of simply linking to the article. That eliminates some steps for sharing your own rich content on Facebook.

2. Categories Expose People To All – Yes, All – Of Your Content
The current news feed shows a small sampling of friends’ updates and posts from pages and public figures. The redesigned news feed offers new channels that contain all updates from friends or pages.
Posts from pages and figures get collected in a “Following” feed and Facebook arranges them in chronological order. That means everything your page posts gets in front of your audience, unlike in the main news feed which only shows select updates.
This means more visibility for your business and more engagement from your followers.

3. A Music Feed That Includes Musician Pages
Are you a musician on Facebook? Expect your page updates and concert announcements to get rolled into the “Music” feed – which currently only shows what your friends are listening to on Spotify.
The “Music” feed will host everything music-related, from what your friends are streaming to updates from band pages to concert announcements from nearby concert venues.
Again, this one-stop feed for all things music helps to make your page content more visible to the people who are most interested in seeing it.

Change Is A Good Thing
Facebook’s news feed updates are good for your content and good for your business. And on top of that, you don’t have to make any changes to your page (unless you want to start posting a lot more photos than before!).
