A Winning Year For AWeber

Our team has a lot to be proud of this year; we’re helping more small businesses grow, creating cool new features and expanding our integrations with other services. Not only that, we’re continuing to grow in our community and as a company.

Here are some AWesome ways AWeber was recognized this year:

EMCCC 2012 Company of the Year


A bunch of AWeber team members gathered at the Huntingdon Valley Country Club on May 17, 2012, to accept the award for the “Company of the Year” from the Eastern Montgomery County
Chamber of Commerce earlier this year.

Philadelphia Business Journal’s Best Places to Work Competition

#11 in Medium Company Category

“The Best Places to Work contest is based entirely on how a statistically significant sample of employees anonymously rated their own companies on things like team effectiveness, trust with co-workers, alignment with goals, and trust in senior leaders, as well as recognition and benefits,” said Philadelphia Business Journal editor Sonja Sherwood. “The survey is administered by Quantum Workplace, an independent third-party surveying firm.”

So why did AWeber do so well? Maybe it’s the indoor activities available such as table tennis, foosball, Nerf bowling alley and a game room with a 100-inch HD projector hooked up to an XBO360, Wii and Bluray player. Or maybe it’s the awesome benefits, such as full health coverage and bonuses. Whatever the reason, AWeber employees are happy.

Pennsylvania Best Places to Work

Top-Ranked Small/Medium Sized Business

Similar to the Philadelphia Business Journal’s competition, the PA Best Places to Work competition surveys employees to determine the winners. Except this one wasn’t limited to the Philadelphia area; it was a state-wide competition.

We were thrilled to be one of the best places to work in the state of Pennsylvania.

Which Test Won Email Testing Awards 2012

Silver Ribbon for List Building
Gold Ribbon for B2B Subject Line Tests

We tested our landing page to see if including 7 reasons to subscribe to our blog would increase conversions (it did). We wrote about the results on our blog, and were pleased to be recognized at Which Test Won as well.

We also ran a test on subject lines to see if including the subscriber’s first name would increase it opens (it did). This test actually got 1st place in Which Test Won’s Subject Line Tests category.

MarketingSherpa Blog Awards

Best Email Marketing Blog

MarketingSherpa asked readers to vote on their favorite marketing blogs in 13 categories. We were thrilled to receive top honors for the “Best Email Marketing Blog.”

Back in April, MarketingSherpa called for nominations for these categories. After tallying the results in June, they narrowed the competition down to two for each category. Readers voted AWeber the winner, and results were published in July.

Semi-finalist

Companies were ranked based on social influence in this contest. As an email-focused company, we were quite proud to make it to the semifinals for our social media efforts.
