Personalization Trick: Insert Past and Future Dates

One of the most-used email marketing “tricks” out there is personalization.
Used sparingly and in the right context, personalization can significantly boost your response. But as personalization shows up in more email marketing campaigns, used in the same ways by so many businesses, its effects can diminish.
Of course, that doesn’t mean you can’t still use personalization to write more effective email campaigns! You just need to use it creatively.

PodCamp Philly: What AWeber Learned and Shared

If you’re familiar with us, you probably know that we don’t offer a podcast. And of course, our service focuses on email marketing. So why would we spend our weekend at a conference on apples when our business is oranges?

3 Ideas for Surviving Email Bankruptcy

After being out of the office for a particularly long weekend, I came back this morning, flipped on my computer and opened Thunderbird.
And boy, did the floodgates open. Internal messages from other AWeber team members, follow ups to conversations with live webinar attendees, web analytics reports… plus the usual complement of spam. All in all, some 1600+ email messages were vying for my attention.
