Why Don’t People Just Unsubscribe?

Justin Premick - January 30th, 2007

It’s easy to forget, working strictly with opt-in email publishers, that there are a lot of people out there who don’t abide by the same standards and ethics that we do here at AWeber.

How to Tie a Download to Your Opt-In Form

Justin Premick - January 25th, 2007

One of the questions we get a lot is about how to offer a bonus or download to people who sign up to a list.

Even The Big Guys Make Mistakes

Justin Premick - January 18th, 2007

Ever Feel Like This? We’ve all done it.

We spend an hour (or longer) carefully crafting an email, reading over copy countless times, and we press “Send.” The message goes out.

Justin Premick - January 12th, 2007

Many AWeber customers use their accounts in conjunction with 1ShoppingCart by placing an opt-in form on the page that buyers are taken to after a successful purchase. This process is detailed in an earlier 1ShoppingCart integration article.

However, as some users have pointed out, it is also possible to use an email parser to collect your 1ShoppingCart buyers in a customer list.

List Size Vs. List Quality

Justin Premick - January 9th, 2007

When people first start a new email list, they tend to measure their success in terms of how many subscribers they have.

Having subscribers on your list is important, to be sure, but it’s not the only, or even the best, measure of a successful opt-in email campaign.

Why is it, then, that so many publishers fear doing anything that might result in a reduction in the overall number of subscribers on their lists?

Popular Email Domains of 2006During 2006 the top 10 email domains have grown from representing 61.25% of email web form requests in January to 65% in December.
