Tom Kulzer (AWeber CEO) - February 3rd, 2004To assist customers in complying with the new federal
the unsubscribe mechanism for subscribers.
Every message sent from AWeber to a customer’s opt-in subscriber contains a link at the bottom to allow for unsubscribing or changing of subscriber details.
Previously this was done only on a per list basis, meaning that if a subscriber was listed in more than one list in a customer’s account
they would need to individually follow each unsubscribe link in those messages.
Multiple Unsubscribe allows the AWeber customer to activate an option so that subscribers may see each list they are subscribed to
in that customers account, regardless of which link they follow. This allows that subscriber to easily unsubscribe from one or all of
the lists in that single request. This also brings the customer into compliance with the new CAN-SPAM act. To manage this new option, customers should login to their accounts and click on “List Settings.”
Setting a brief list description is strongly recommended.
