Lying in the spa bath surrounded, by candles with a glass of
champagne in my hand, with the one I love. Listening to the sound
track of the "English Patient" and on comes "I'm in Heaven ".
Well that say's it all-- I had to keep playing it all weekend
because that's where we were .... Dancing cheek to cheek in front
of the fire, having delicious breakfasts served to us on the veranda.
Toorak really is the most beautiful cottage and all senses have
been catered for ... touch, sound, smell and taste.
Foodies Delight
We have a new restaurant on the range, the location previously
known as "Malcolm's" has re opened as "On Mountain View".
The new owner Jeremy Kreft has created an open atmosphere
with breathtaking views of the Glasshouse Mountains. Not only
a beautiful spot for dinner but also a relaxing and enjoyable
interlude for lunch.
On Mountain View's offers a distinctive menu with interesting and
well priced dishes to tempt your taste buds. Jeremy prides himself
in using only the best quality ingredients', his beef comes from
Tasmania and seafood is sourced locally to ensure freshness.
June and I recently had dinner at the restaurant and chose the
South African dishes :Babotie" a fragrant mix of minced roast lamb
and beef with a creamy topping and "Pirir-pirie chicken" with
roast potatoes, spiced mangoes, charred capsicum and a
coriander minced sauce.

May Special - Eumundi markets
Have an early start to the day with breakfast at Bendles, visit the
Eumundi markets and meander around the shops stay for lunch and
then return to Bendles to recoup with 2 half hour massages and

artworks and sculptures by local artists, taste freshly baked

read or indulge in a foot massage.

local nature areas or parks, hiking, sunning, bird watching, or
just reading a book. Bendles will pack you a lovely picnic hamper
