Been Expecting a Miracle? Get ready, it's about to unfold.
Key to manifestation: Thanksgiving by Pam Perry
"You have accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord. Now keep on following him. Plant your roots in Christ and let him be the foundation for your life. Be strong in your faith, just as you were taught. And be grateful." Colossians 2:6-7 (Contemporary English Version)
No matter what this year has brought so far - God's mercy and goodness is constant. Though there have been times of disappointment, discouragement or defeat, God is not finished yet. If you are committed to following Jesus, daily strengthening your faith, and seeking to learn from life experiences, you will overflow - overflow with thanksgiving.
It is easy to be thankful when all is going well but a true test of character is to have a grateful attitude during adversity. There is always something to complain about but a person who is rooted in the true love of Jesus can find something to be grateful for.
Knowing Christ personally and intimately should be our highest goal. Knowing that God walks and talks with us is reason enough to be full of joy. God cares. Even when we don't feel He does, He truly cares and will never leave us or forsake us.
Amidst hurricanes, financial disasters, death of loved ones or illness, know that God is with us. Weeping may endure of a night but joy does come in the morning. I am a witness.
I've been walking this walk with God for a while and I know when I'm going to another level in Him. When challenges come, I cling tighter to Him. That's how I mature. That's how I grow.
I am so grateful for those challenges. I am thankful for the opportunities that I see God's hand move in my life. I have a keen sense of gratitude for all the obstacles that I have overcome - knowing that God is moving in my life - and His mercy does endure forever.
Being thankful is a choice. Choose to follow Him whom all blessings flow. Make sure Jesus is your foundation and build your faith on His promises and watch your life overflow with thankfulness. God is truly amazing.
Remember to "Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you
in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
